Cherokee Nation Washington Office

 Mission Statement

As the largest Native American Tribe in the United States, the Cherokee Nation has a long history of working with the US federal government. The Cherokee Nation Washington Office (CNWO) continues that nation-to-nation relationship by providing  a permanent presence for the Tribe in Washington DC. The Office opened on Capitol Hill in 2001 to serve as the Cherokee Nation’s Government Relations division in DC.  The CNWO works for the more than 300,000 Cherokee tribal citizens as their liaison to the United States Congress, the Administration, U.S. Agencies, National Organizations and other Tribal Governments.

The  CNWO is conveniently located on the Senate side of the Capitol Building and is open to all visitors from 8 - 5, Monday through Friday. We hope you will stop by for any desired information and we look forward to meeting you.
